the mud cloth made out of coarsely woven fabric strips traditionally hand sewn together then dyed with fermented mud – hence its’ name ‘bogolan’ (mud cloth), comes in blankets of different sizes. the large piece measures 42″ by 60″. it has a rich texture close to linen and the natural dyes give it an artisanal look. it comes in natural colors: off white, mustard rust and black and can be used to make jackets, coats, other clothing items or in home decor and art. and you won’t need to go looking for a tailor because you can buy it here and have anything made here too!
